Anything and everything
Here you can find a collection of more or less random stuff I've made. There are only one or two pictures of each, so they don't really need their own pages.
Sesse
I really like my do-it-yourself Bambi from Paapii. It looks so cute and was fun to make. I've been wanting to get their dog too, in brown and make it also myself. This seemed like a good time. Paapii's own shop did not have a brown dog TSI kit available, so I ordered mine from VauVauva. As with Bambi, I used stuffing from an old pillow (I am pretty sure I washed it before butchering in 2011), so the Thing can have a cute stuffed toy that can be thrown into the washing machine and washed at 60 degrees when needed. This one was made June 7th 2014.
Dragon
I was getting bored of the seahorses after so many years. I decided to make something else and borrowed the paints I used for them from my sister. Since I like dragons, that was an obvious choice. The design is part copy from an image I found and part my own (wings and head copied, tail and legs mine). The seahorses did come off just fine as advertised, though they got so stretched in the process that they weren't usable any more. But no marks on the case. I think it is the temperature in the case that causes the pictures to stick bit too tightly. Dragon was done in November 2013.
Bambi
This one isn't exactly all mine. It is a "TEE-SE-ITSE" (do it yourself)-kit from Paapii that I just sew together and stuffed. But it is so cute, it deserves to be shown somewhere! I got mine from Paloni's stand at Kädentaidot handicrafts fair, but Paapii also has a webshop where bambis and other cute things can be ordered either in TSI-kits or ready made. I made mine in December 2011.
Hat
Hat is made from leftover fabrics (dun velvet on the outside + cotton with dancers in the inside) using a pattern from Taikutti. Made in October 2011.
Jacket
The jacket was done in October 2008. I had an old beige jacket I had made at school (probably 1996 or 1997, I think it was in the 8th grade), that didn't fit me anymore (stupid shapes!). It had a really pretty quilted bird on the back that my mother had made. To get the bird into something that I could wear, I decided to make a new jacket. I used a well fitting jacket to draw the patterns and brownish green velvet to make it.
Spotted cat hoodie
Spotted cat hoodie (kissihuppari) was done in August 2008. I actually wanted a leopard spot pattern, but couldn't find anything that would work. So I ended up getting black and painting some spots on it using silver fabric paint. The result was way too silvery, so I just put the hoodie in washing machine before ironing it over. Result was actually pretty good, the spots are barely visible, just like they are on a melanistic leopard's fur.
I used this hoodie a lot and the spots faded so that they aren't really visible at all anymore.
Green raglan hoodies
I've made a total of four hoodies with raglan sleaves and main color green. x)
Two I made in September 2011 in darker and lighter greens. They both have dark green full zippers and two pockets at the front. One has lighter green sleaves, rest is dark green, the other one has lighter green hood and body, with the rest in darker green.
The first two were done in something like 2008 and originally had white and dark green. one had green sleaves and hood with white body, the other had white sleaves and hood with green body. They had no zippers and no pockets of any kind. The contrast between white and dark green was a bit too much and I tried to dye the white to a lighter green. The pic shows how it didn't quite work and the color is very uneven.
Sea horses
The first picture I found of my computer case with the sea horses and sea weed, is from April 2007, so I must have made them some time earlier... I have no idea what the stuff I made these from is called. It is meant to be used on windows, mirrors etc and can be removed without leaving any marks (though the pictures themselves tend to stretch so they might not be reusable).
The case is Antec Super Lanboy, that I got maybe in 2005. I still have it, so it has been well worth the money (and it wasn't that expensive)! It is quite light, about 4kg, smallish in size, but still large enough to fit a standard ATX motherboard. It also came with a carry strap to make it easier to take it with you to a LAN party. The insides have changed from the picture, and sadly I couldn't fit the pretty butterfly cooler on my current CPU...
