The start
I learned knitting and crocheting at school years ago, but had a bit of a clash with the last teacher. This caused me to stop doing any sorts of handcrafts for years (from 9th grade to university).
Then one day at the university I was sitting at a lecture (Basic course on networking ("Tietoliikenneverkkojen perusteet") as I recall) with a friend of mine who had found knitting again. Since I had trouble staying awake (lectures are boring), I thought I would start knitting too, just to have something to do with my hands and keep me awake.
My knitting has been a bit on/off since then. It is much easier to find pretty yarn than to figure out what to make of it. Though couple of times have been the other way around (fox hat!). I love knitting mittens (everyone needs at least 5 pairs, right? :) ), but for some reason used to hate socks. Finding toe up -patterns has fixed that.
Ravelry
Everything I've knit after March 2010 can be found from Ravelry. Here are my projects: Shendas @Ravelry. I try to set all my projects as public (though might have forgotten some), so they should all be visible there.
Older knits
Older knits aren't properly documented, and I don't even have pictures of everything I've made. Collected here are the few I do have pictures of. :)
Fox hat. I just wanted to knit a hat with fox ears. Used Novita's Aino yarn.
Some old knits. One pair of red legwarmers, three pairs of wristwarmers (red, grey, pink/purple/yellow), three pairs of mittens and a mismatched pair of half gloves.
In addition to these I've knit two sweaters (one frogged, one I couldn't find), more mittens, some socks not shown here, one dinosaur (some type of sauropod, I think it is at my mother's place, should go find it) and very likely some stuff I don't even remember.
